Alabama Virtual Library (AVL): Use your AVL card and after logging in, click on "Elementary" under
"Age Group" and then try these two choices first: Kids Search, powered by
EBSCOhost and Britannica Online School Edition. When you type in
your person's name, obituaries (article in the newspaper when someone dies)
sometimes comes up--these are good sources of information about a person's
life. After checking in the elementary section of Britannica, if nothing of value
comes up (hits), then go to the bottom of the screen and click on the "K-12"
button. Notice you have choices of image, article, and best sites on the web.
